The Anniston Star is conducting it's annual "Ghost Writers" contest open for students in Grades K-4 from our school.

PRIZES

First place winners will receive:

· A $25 gift certificate from Quintard Mall.

· A personalized, autographed copy of 13 Alabama Ghosts and Jeffrey, by Kathryn Tucker Windham.

· A personalized, autographed copy of Calico Ghosts, by Renee Morrison.

HOW TO ENTER

· Email your story to Features Editor Lisa Davis at ldavis@annistonstar.com.

· Mail your story to "Ghost Writers," The Anniston Star, P.O. Box 189, Anniston, AL 36202.

· Drop off at The Anniston Star, 4305 McClellan Blvd., in Anniston.

· Drop off at the Guest Services desk at Quintard Mall in Oxford.

Stories must be received by 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 15.

THE FINE PRINT

· All stories must be original and cannot have been previously published.

· Stories must be no more than 500 words.

· You may include original artwork with your story.

• Entry must include the following information: Title of story, name, age, address, phone, e-mail, division entered, name of school, and first and last name of teacher.

The school will be mailing entries on Friday, Oct. 9th, so get those stories in to your teacher if you would like for us to send it in for you.
